Liquid Kicks LK Pinhole Filler
LK Top Coats Pinhole Filler is a super strong leather filler designed to make thread holes disappear and repair scars and scuffs!
If you have ever removed an emblem from a shoe, the holes left behind from the stitching can be very obvious and take away from the clean look of the shoe!
Our hole filler can make those holes completely disappear!
LK Pinhole Filler is extremely durable, flexible, stretchable, sandable, and paintable!!!
Apply in light layers.
REMOVE ALL THREAD FROM HOLES BEFORE APPLYING!!
Preparation: Prepare the entire shoe as you normally would before applying any paint. Clean holes or damaged area with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. Sand area around holes with 800 grit sandpaper. Clean again with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. Allow the area to air dry for 30 minutes before applying Pinhole Filler to allow all alcohol to evaporate.
Applying Pinhole Filler: Apply Pinhole Filler in light coats. Begin with one light coat directly to holes thick enough to fill the holes without having alot of excess filler on the surrounding leather. Allow the first layer to air dry for one hour. Smooth out the first layer with 800 or 1000 grit sandpaper. Wipe away any dust with a clean dry soft bristle paint brush. Apply a second layer if necessary and repeat sanding.
Drying: Allow Pinhole Filler to dry for 5 hours before attempting to sand it or paint over it.
Applying Top Coat: We recommend sealing the Pinhole filler and surrounding area with our LK Top Coat before applying any color to the shoes. Doing so will help hide the repair further. LK Top Coats should be applied with an airbrush with a tip size between .2mm and .7mm with air pressure between 25psi and 35psi or with a mini spray gun with a tip size less than 1mm. Spray top coat directly at the surface from 3 to 5 inches away with an airbrush, or 4 to 8 inches away with a spray gun. Apply top coat in even coats by working from side to side and top to bottom while overlapping each previous line to create medium wet coats. Allow the top coat to dry before moving to the next coat.
Working time: Once the product is removed from the container, curing will begin. A test showed that a pea-sized amount has a working time of 10 minutes before the performance was affected. To extend working time, keep unused portion covered with a cap or lid. The shelf life of unopened containers of Pinhole Filler has been proven to be longer than 1 year under normal conditions. The shelf life of partially used containers has been shown to be more than a month.
Coverage: One container has 1 ounce of Pinhole Filler in it. One container will fill more than 10000 thread holes.
Storage: Store between 50f and 80f and away from long term exposure to direct sunlight to prevent oxidation. Long term exposure to temperatures over 120f and below 30f may cause a loss of product performance. Keep lid closed when not in use to prevent drying.
